JERUSALEM, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- A series of China-Israel cultural and trade promotion activities were launched on Tuesday evening at the China Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, attracting lots of Israelis.

The three-day activities include China-Israel cultural innovation program roadshow, "China Style" cultural and creative product exhibition as well as "This Moment in Pudong" photography exhibition to commemorate the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up.

"China Style" exhibition shows the development of China's cultural and creative industry with high techs, innovation capabilities and market prospects.

Shao Peiran, a 12-year-old boy, shared his oil painting "A Dream within A Dream" with Israeli people, which describes the goodliness in the eyes of a child.

"This Moment in Pudong" photography exhibition presents 30 pictures showing the great achievements in Shanghai, China's financial and business center, and its Pudong New Area.

It features the business, culture, society and life in Pudong and Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone.

"Jewish Refugees and Shanghai" exhibition and "Oriental Rhythms" Yue Opera class are also two important parts of these activities.

The activities will further enhance the two countries' practical cooperation in culture and promote the development of cultural and tourism industries, said Ren Yibiao, president of the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Shanghai).

Through cultural exchanges, Israeli people will have a better understanding of a changing China that is showing its culture while making innovations, Ren added.

These activities "are very good, because Israeli people are not very familiar with Chinese culture," said Gal Furer, vice chairman of Israel-China Friendship Society, in an interview with Xinhua.

As the relations between Israel and China are getting stronger, cultural exchange is also increasing, said Furer, adding that he is glad to see more and more Chinese cultural products to be brought to Israelis.

China's national intangible cultural heritage, pottery and porcelain, silk, embroidery and tea ceremony were also staged in these activities.
