SREMSKI KARLOVCI, Serbia, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Serbian delegation will travel to the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, hoping to present latest innovations, achievements, as well as its tourist offers, aiming to carry out further cooperation in these areas with China, Serbian Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic told Xinhua recently in the town of Sremski Karlovci.

Asked about Serbia's plans for its presentation at the expo, Sarcevic said that the delegation will include representatives of the government, universities as well as the Science Technology Park (STP) from Belgrade, an incubator and fund launched in partnership among the Serbian government, the City of Belgrade and the Belgrade University, with an aim to help start-ups and growing high-tech development companies to develop and commercialize innovative products and services.

The minister said he will on Sunday lead the delegation of the Serbian government to Shanghai, "which will include representatives of the science ministry, as well as ministry of trade and tourism."

"Delegation will have many members, most important of which will be those of the Science Technology Park (STP) from Belgrade, which will present their innovations and achievements. Moreover, the delegation will include representatives of universities from Serbia, namely those from Belgrade and Novi Sad. Stands will also present Serbia's tourist offer," Sarcevic revealed to Xinhua.

He said that Serbia's delegation hopes to repeat the successful representation at the fair in Izmir in Turkey in September.

"We can once again demonstrate in China to what extent Serbia is interesting for further cooperation in the area of science and higher education. So far, we have shown that we are very good partners with our friendly people in China. There are numerous opportunities in tourism too, because Chinese people do not need visas to enter Serbia any more, and represent a great share of people that come to get to know the tourist potentials of Serbia".
