NEW YORK, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Media darling Paris Hilton gave thumbs up to Chinese fashion brand Jasmine, which was presented Saturday at one of the fashion shows during the ongoing New York Fashion Week.

Describing the designing of Jasmine, a fashion brand of Chinese designer Jane Qin, as "beautiful, colorful and elegant," Hilton said. "This global fashion brand, using environment-friendly materials, mixes perfectly with the best craftsmanship of East and West."

Jasmine, which is a New-York based fashion brand with studios and stores in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and is expected to expand to London and Melbourne, gave a presentation, devoted to a philosophy calling on people to live in a simple, fresh, clean, and friendly aesthetic world.

"I love Jasmine's designs, they're just so beautiful and colorful. Butterflies are one of my favorite things in the world, so I really love that she incorporated butterflies throughout the show," said Hilton, obviously impressed by the lifelike butterflies sitting on or cycling around the fancy and simple fashion works.

Talking about the fashion colors, Hilton said she was astonished by the turquoise and pink ones, which she said were "so beautiful and so elegant."

"I love how you can wear them on any occasion, to work, on a date, going to dinner, going to a club," she noted, highly commending the usability of the clothing.

Echoing the designer's philosophy, Hilton said she liked the personality of the designer as "she's incredibly talented, she's kind, she's sweet, she's creative, and she's just cool."

Jane Qin, apparently thrilled by the warm response of the audience, told reporters that she has been trying her utmost to use organic cotton, natural fiber and recycled materials in fashion designing and making.

"My fashion philosophy best reflects the current mode of life that people are yearning for -- close to nature and energy-saving," she said.

Qin studied fashion design at Parsons School of Design and Jewelry Design in Geological Institute of America in New York. She also studied at Yale School of Art and Cornell University for her postgraduate.

A travel fan, Qin said she wants to explore global traditional cultures so that she could implement those aesthetic details into her designing.

Li Jing, former NBC and CBS journalist, told Xinhua that Qin's travel experience and global citizen life style are becoming "the source of inspiration for her designing."

"That's why her fashion works are becoming so popular," she said.
