KAMPALA, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Uganda Rugby Cranes are targeting to beat Morocco when the two teams battle on Saturday in a Rugby Africa Gold Cup/World Cup qualifier in Kampala.

"We are prepared for the game and we want to make it another win after defeating Tunisia last weekend," Uganda's coach John Duncan told Xinhua on Thursday after announcing his squad.

After their 67-12 win over Tunisia last weekend, Uganda are now third on the table with five points behind Kenya who have 12 and table leaders Namibia who have 20 points.

Duncan believes that with more home support and good game planning, his team can get another comfortable win over the Morocco team.

"We shall not underrate them, but play according to our game plan so that we get as many tries as possible," added the South African born coach.

The technical bench of the Rugby Cranes has also recalled Ivan Magomu who was suspended for the game last weekend because of disciplinary issues.

The experienced Magomu was part of Uganda's Sevens team at the World Cup in the United States last month and the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia.

The winner of the Rugby Africa Gold Cup will qualify for the 2019 World Cup, while the second placed team will battle through the repechage competition to take place in France later this year.

The squad includes Martial Tchumkam, Paul Ssekate, Asuman Mugerwa, Charles Uhuru, Robert Aziku, Byron Oketayot, Brian Asaba, Eliphaz Emong, Aaron Ofoirwoth and Ivan Magomu.

Others are James Odongo, Pius Ogena, Micheal Okorach, Justin Kimono, Philip Wokorach, Joseph Tamale, Collins Kimbowa, Santos Senteza, Simon Olet, Ronald Musajja, Conrad Wanyama, Eric Mula and Solomon Okia. Enditem
