GAZA, April 2 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian man died Monday of wounds sustained in Friday's anti-Israel protests along the Gaza-Israeli border fence, the Palestinian health ministry said.

Fayez al-Reqeb, 29, died of injuries he suffered during the Friday's "Great Return Rally" in the southern Gazan city of Khan Younis, the health ministry said in a statement.

At least 15 Palestinians were killed and more than 1,200 injured on Friday as Israeli forces opened fire toward scores of Palestinian protesters marking Land Day at a rally held at the borders between Gaza and Israel.

The Friday rally was the start of a six-week long protest which is expected to peak on May 15, the day Israel celebrates its establishment, while the Palestinians mark the forcible transfer of two thirds of the Palestinian people and the ethnic cleansing of 418 Palestinian villages.

Meanwhile, the rally organizing committee announced the formation of an international legal committee which includes a number of legal experts and jurists from several countries to sue Israeli soldiers for targeting unarmed demonstrators in Gaza.
